If you follow book news at all, you’re probably aware that the fall literary season is now hitting its stride. Some weeks, there are so many exciting new releases being “buzzed” about that it’s easy to despair of ever reading them all.

It was just about this time eleven years ago that another exciting new release was receiving a lot of ink (and, for that time, bandwidth). The book? Philip Roth’s The Plot Against America, which was published in September 2004.
