We at Fig Tree are proud and honored that this year, Jessamyn Hope’s Safekeeping was one of the three finalist titles, along with Judith Claire Mitchell’s A Reunion of Ghosts and Jim Shepard’s The Book of Aron; Shepard’s much-lauded novel took the prize.

Welcome to the December 2016/Jewish Book Month stop for the Jewish Book Carnival! The Carnival is a project of one of our favorite organizations: the Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL). In its simplest terms, the Carnival is “a monthly event where bloggers who blog about Jewish books can meet, read and comment on each others’ posts.”
